How to clean a fish tank

Fish are very sensitive and therefore, keeping the fish tank clean is very important to give them a better quality of life. In this article we tell you how you have to clean your fish tank without empty your fish completely.

Process:

Place the towel on the floor in front of the fish tank, so you can absorb any spills that may occur while cleaning the fish tank.

Use an algae scraper to clean the inside glass of the fish tank, start by wiping with the rough surface of the sponge and then with the smooth surface in ascending and descending movements.

Use the net to remove any debris that may appear on the surface of the water.

Now proceed to change some of the water. Place the smaller end of the siphon into the bowl and place the larger end inside the bowl.

With gentle but fast movements, shake it up and down inside the water, in this way the siphon will begin to absorb the water from the fish tank.

Place the siphon on the dirty gravel so you can suck up the dirt, always being careful that no stone is trapped inside the siphon hose.

You do not have to remove all the water from the fish tank so when you have reached 10% or by a lot to 15% you will have to remove the siphon from the fish tank.

You also do not have to clean all the gravel of the fish tank, only some parts.

Now put the clean fish tank accessories in the bowl, add new water from the faucet in the bowl to finish filling the bowl with the water conditioner, and pour the water slowly into a corner of the bowl to avoid disturbing the fish.

The amount of water you make in the fish tank depends on how many fish you have and how often you clean it, if you clean it every week, the amount of water you will change will be 10-15%. If you clean it every two weeks, the amount will be 25%.
